How personalized is the book?
Your child's first name appears throughout the story, and they're illustrated to match the details you give us: hair color and style, skin tone, eye color and glasses. You can add a pet with its own name, and a dedication on the opening page.
Is the book checked before it's printed?
Yes. Every book is checked by hand before it prints. We review every page for names, details and print quality. There's no customer preview step, so double-check the details you enter on the order form.
How long does it take?
Digital PDFs are emailed after our review, usually in about 1–2 days. Hardcovers are printed by Lulu after our hand check and, with free standard shipping, usually arrive in about 2–3 weeks; faster shipping is available.
When should I order for Christmas?
Hardcovers are printed and shipped by our print partner, Lulu, after our hand check. Based on Lulu's delivery estimates, order by November 30 with free standard shipping, December 4 with Expedited or December 7 with Express. These are estimates, not guarantees. A PDF (about 1–2 days) is the safest last-minute option.
Can I send the book as a gift?
Yes. Tick "This is a gift" on the order form to add a gift message, printed on the dedication page. For hardcovers you can ship directly to the recipient; no prices are included in the package. Order emails always go to you, so the surprise stays safe.
Can I order extra copies?
Yes. When you pick Hardcover, add up to 5 extra copies of the same book for $29.99 each, shipped together. Great for grandparents.
Is there faster shipping?
Yes, for hardcovers: Standard (free, about 12–15 business days once printing starts), Expedited (+$15.99, about 7–10) or Express (+$30.99, about 6–9). Printing starts after our hand check.
What is the Happiness guarantee?
If we made a mistake (a typo, a wrong detail or a print defect), we'll fix it and reprint free. Just email us a photo of the problem. Because every book is personalized, we can't offer refunds for a change of mind, which is why every book is checked by hand before it prints.
Do I need to upload a photo?
No. For privacy, we never ask for photos of children: we illustrate your child from your description (hair, skin tone, eyes and a distinctive detail). For a Custom Story (where the star can be your child or your pet) you may optionally add photos of adults (13+) or pets in the story; they're permanently deleted once your book is delivered.
What happens to my photos?
Any photos you send (adults 13+ or pets, Custom Story only) are used only to illustrate your book and are permanently deleted after the book is delivered. We never ask for photos of children.
What size is the hardcover?
11 × 8.5 inches, landscape, with 24 full-color pages.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship hardcovers within the United States. The PDF can be delivered anywhere by email.
Which stories are available?
Classic Stories: Christmas Adventure and Bedtime Adventure are available now, with more coming soon. Or create a Custom Story with your own idea, starring your child or your pet.
Can you find the bee? 🐝
Yes! Our little Bee My Story bee hides somewhere in every book. Kids love hunting for it on each read.
How much does it cost?
Classic Stories: Digital PDF $14.99, Hardcover $39.99. Custom Story: Digital PDF $19.99, Hardcover $44.99.
